How can I get a ride when I need to travel locally?

SKIL empowers people to make their own transportation choices. The directory lists telephone numbers that can be called to arrange transportation in the twelve counties in Southeast Kansas. Transportation services that serve only one town or a limited area around the town are listed under their specific communities within the county. Individuals who are adjusting to disabilities are welcome to contact the closest SKIL office for assistance and training in making transportation arrangements.

Is transportation available for medical appointments out of town?

If you have Medicaid, it will pay for medical transportation services of 50 miles or more. Only approved transportation providers qualify for Medicaid payment. Prior approval from Medicaid is required. For a list of the Medicaid approved service providers and prior approval, call 1-800-285-4978.
