SKIL was created by; is driven by; and is focused on persons with disabilities, their families, and communities. We provide Advocacy, Education, and Support with Customer Controlled services to break down and remove existing barriers and bridge social gaps to ensure and preserve Equality and Independence for all.

Due to the potential spread of the Corona Virus, all SKIL Offices will be closed to visitors and the general public until further notice.

SKIL staff will continue providing services while the offices are closed. Communication, during this time, will take place through phone, email or fax.
If needing to turn in or receive a hire packet and/or other paperwork, we encourage you to send your information by email to your local SKIL office.
When bringing paperwork to SKIL offices during regular business hours, call that office, and someone will come to the door to assist you.

Thank You for your patience in these extraordinary times!

AuthentiCare Instructions required January 16

Dear Customers and DSW's(Direct Support Workers):  The State has put a new service into place. It is called Kansas AuthentiCare. This will allow the attendants to call in their times. The call needs to come from the customers phone.

We do expect the timesheets to be filled out and sent in as normal. We may be able to eliminate timesheets in the future, but they are our only guarantee to assure the DSW's get paid for now.

Please find the instructions at this link. SKIL Fiscal Agent will be sending the DSW's key chains with their ID # when the State assigns them. If you have any questions about this, please give your TCM or SKIL Fiscal Agent a call.

We are all learning this new system together.  Remember, we need you to continue to use the timesheets to assure we have your information and can get you paid for the hours you are working.

On Monday January 9th, 2012 DSWs will have the option to start using the KS AuthentiCare system. On Monday January 16th DSWs will be required to start using the system.

SKIL has been working hard to stay on top of things so that we can make the transition as easy as possible for our costomers, their families, and their Direct Support Workers (DSWs).
