Due to the potential spread of the Corona Virus, all SKIL Offices will be closed to visitors and the general public until further notice.

Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program

 ...Another credit of up to $9,600 would be available for hiring veterans with service-connected disabilities who have been unemployed for more than six months.

The President signed into Law HR 674 which expands employment services to all Veterans through Dec. 31, 2012.  ETA (Employment & Training Administration) will issue a TEGL (Training & Employment Guidance Letter) with information and guidance on forms and implementation of the new amendments and provisions in the coming weeks.  As soon as additional information and guidance is received, we will pass it on to you.

Legislation to provide tax credits for hiring unemployed veterans (H.R. 674) passed the House by a vote of 422-0 last week. The legislation was approved by the Senate  and provides a credit of $2,400 for hiring veterans who have been unemployed for at least four weeks, but less than six months, and another credit up to $5,600 for hiring veterans who have been jobless for at least six months. Another credit of up to $9,600 would be available for hiring veterans with service-connected disabilities who have been unemployed for more than six months.
