Fishing Has No Boundaries 2014 is a success

By Shari Coatney, SKIL CEO
I wanted to share the numbers from this years Fishing Has No Boundaries event! We had one of the best turn outs ever for participants and we had a great cross disability group!!!

The volunteers we very appreciated. The cooks worked there back sides off and made sure everyone was fed and had their needs met.

The transportation was a nice touch this year. We could not of provided that if we didn't have willing people picking people up by 7:00. Then running people home after a long hot day in the sun!! Thanks for getting people to the event!

The nurse was kept very busy this year. The heat and the scrapes we all dealt with and a loving smiles made everyone feel better.

The people who worked the registration were kept busy from the time we got started till the very end!! We had lots of tickets sold and everyone was excited about the baskets. The warm smiles and cheerful conversation was appreciated by all that attended.

The muscle that was used in setting up and tearing down was a true blessing. Lots of organizing and planning goes into an event like this but it just can't be done with out pure labor. I can't say enough thanks!

Then we had the boats and the people who were helping at the docks. There were lots of fish caught, measured, and photoed! We had boats loaded with tackle and excitement through out the day. The hot spot for the big catches were off the bank though this year!! Thanks for everyone who had to get down and dirty with the fisherman making sure the fun was had!!!

The prizes were a big hit!! I love how excited our winners get with there prizes and gifts! Thanks to all who got the donations and put them together.

I am sure I forgot someone but just know the team work and selfless was noted. Thank you team!!!! We truly made memories for people!! Thank you all!!

At the event we had:
82 participants
15 attendants
26 volunteers

These are the ones that registered. We thank the many more that slipped by without registering, especially volunteers.
