Parsons Woman Helps With Tornado Relief

Parsons, KS - A Parsons woman whose family lives by the creed "A neighbor in need is a friend indeed" has been doing her part to help victims of the recent deadly storms in the area. Jeannie Ainsworth has been stationed in front of the Parsons Country Mart store the past few days, accepting donations for the relief efforts. These donations include everything from food and money to kitchen utensils and stuffed animals.Ainsworth started her work after the Greensburg tornado of last year. She said It makes her feel good to help people who really need it. She will continue to be at the Parsons Country Mart from 9:30 until 5:30 daily to accept donations of any type or amount.
